Logistics

Getting There

Brussels is easily accessible by plane or train depending on your departing location. If you fly into the main airport, there is a train from the airport to Brussels-Central which is located near the Grand Place. It is a very easy and affordable option for traveling between the airport and city center.

Getting Around

Parts of Brussels are accessible on foot, but if you choose to venture to some areas outside the city center, you may need to leverage public transportation or taxis. Both the Atomium and Mini-Europe would be considered further away and require other modes of transport to access.

Accommodations

Find somewhere to stay near the Grand Palace to ensure you are centrally located.

Other Notes

Duration

A day-trip or quick weekend trip to Brussels is all one needs. There is not a ton to do aside from eating and drinking your way through the Belgium cuisine. If you are visiting for a longer period of time, be sure to look into various day trips to provide a change of pace from the city.

Waffles

Types of Waffles: Liege waffles vs Brussels waffles. Brussels waffles are more traditional while Liege look like there is a sugar topping/glaze on it.
